Any Springer Spaniel Breeders In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi are there any English Springer Spaniel owners out there? (Female needed) I have a 5 1/2 year old Pedigree Male who I would like to breed from, he has full paperwork and is from a Hunting Family Perthshire Scotland has lived in Phuket now for 4 years.

I know that there are a lot of Cocker Spaniels but I would like to find Springer Spaniel.

Thanks

I breed dobermanns and have been on the lookout for Springer Spaniels for 5 years now in Thailan without luck. Having said that though., we do import dogs so it might just mean finding a good dame in the UK and bringing her over...

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!You are actually importing dogs to thailand???????????????????????????????????

Whats wrong with you people....??!!!

I mean bringing your own dog is perfectly fine, but makin a buisness with importing dogs to thailand with a million streetdogs that need to be adopted is just SO WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@ MCFARANG,i really hope you DONT find what you are looking for!!!

It's not about making a business- in fact I could show you with what my breeder and close friend pays in flights, vaccinations and the amount of pups he loses to fukes, parvo and host of other diseases here- he makes a LOSS. It's about about his love for the breed and providing the person with the breed you want. I have always been a springer spaniel lover as I had them as a kid. Your argument about Thai street dogs holds no water. That's like saying there aren't any street dogs in the countries we import from- which is not true. Madonna should not have adopted a Malawian kid as the US is full of unwanted babies- same dumb argument. Maybe I don't want a Thai soi dog becuase I'm afraid it would hurt my kid- I train pups to live with my kids.

FYI I am very much involved in Soi Dog Rescue- and always donate to any animal cruelty innitiative. I was never going to get Springers and breed them wholesale- but like many others out there who love the breed- it would be nice to have the choice. Maybe you should vent your frustration at the Thai rott and pit bull breeders who let their sires and dames live a life in a cage- so much so they develop permanent body calluses from a life on concrete. My doberman breeder whelps 2 litters a year MAX and none of his dogs stay in cages- they are all with friends and family and live normal lives. We even check the homes we send them too.

I'm not going to get on a soap box about this. Some people like Springers and I happen to be one of them. I'd like to see a soi dog swim 200 yards to fetch a fowl- these are working dogs and I use them for that on my farm.

Here Here Well said,

Never mind swimming 200 yds what about back and forth a 25 m pool all afternoon with 3 Thai Kids hanging off him and they are all sleeping before him. Great Swimmers Great Stamina and great with Kids but need lots of excercise otherwise they go in a huff and chew their feet etc.

I do not want to Breed as such just keep the line going and have a puppy that will be a pal as the old boy gets older.

There are some great Soi Dogs and I support Soi Dog Foundation and PAWS but I do not want to ruin the bloodline although I dont think Spicey (The Springer) would mind who he had LOL.

I have still not managed to find another maybe one day before he is too old.
