20k a month for hillside in bophut ? Seems very cheap or an error in price . Strange how they seem to have shut this cheap place down and evicted people , yet miss the piles of huge places all over the island that are 100k plus a month to rent . Just left samui last week for about the third time in 8 months and every time I am there I see land being cleared for development. The last time it was just everywhere I looked and the place is ruined. No idea who is approving all these building permits but it seriously needs halted . I don't understand why people are building more and more when there are hundreds if not thousands sitting empty due to high price for sale or rent . If I didn't know better I would think they are being built to wash dirty money 🤔 -

Honest Question: How is Trump a 'threat to Democracy'?
As a US citizen, I have to preface my remarks that the USA IS NOT A DEMOCRACY, nor is any other country I know of. The USA is a REPUBLIC in which the representatives are supposedly democratically elected. But all that would best be taken up in another forum. So, I will address the question as it has been asked... Trump is a threat to "democracy" IMO because of the following: - He and the Republican Party continually strive to limit the number of people who are allowed to vote; - He and the Republican Party are guilty of reformatting the districts within a state in favor of their party (gerrymandering) ; - He continually spreads false information, which wrongly influences how people vote; - If elected, he will continue to strive to become a dictator; - If elected, I am sure he will try to remove the limitations that would prohibit him from running for president again so he could remain president indefinitely. (Of course, he is now 78, so, thankfully, that wouldn't be for too much longer). There are many others, but those above are the strongest threats, again, IMO. -

TM30
I have no idea of reason why landlord would not deal with TM30. Some suggest taxation reasons, personally don't buy that. My partner has condos. A couple have farang tenants. One (a teacher) requires a TM30 every time he renews contract with school. She provides her real estate agent with necessary docs and that's it. I just asked her what the agent charges and her reply "nothing". Long story about very little. Point is if owner will not/cannot provide TM30 then put line through that one. Some Airbnb seem reluctant to do TM30. This also applies to tourists planning to obtain an extension. That means dealing with immigration. Check accommodation will provide a TM30 -

BBC Admits Past Lapses in Addressing Celebrity Misconduct
The BBC has long enabled it's biggest stars. They bend the rules, look the other way, re-interpret the rules etc. to the point that the stars think/know they can get away with pretty much anything. Saville, Harris, Jenas, Edwards are just the tip of the iceberg. It takes police involvement before they reluctantly take the weakest action possible. It's culturally embedded at this point. They need to be defunded. It's a massive grift and the British people should no longer be coerced into supporting this Woke, left wing, state funded propaganda machine that seems to churn out unsavoury characters like McDonalds churn out burgers. -
