No World Cup Broadcast In Singapore

Featured Replies

This years world cup in South Africa looks as if it will not be broadcast in Singapore. :D

There are now two telecom companies trying to beat a deal out of FiFa to show the games.

Singtel and StarHub have yet to agree on a price which will be handed down to us, the paying public.

Last world cup came at a price here but , apparently, that price is now several times higher.

So if you are planning a holiday in Singapore and hope to catch the internationals at the same time, you,ll be out of luck as they may not be shown.

SUCCESS!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

A bid that has been put by both Singtel and Starhub (about SG$21 million )has been accepted by FIFA and Singapore WILL get the World Cup games at last!

It will come at a price though.

The price which viewers can buy the service has not been released yet, in 2006 the price was $25 to subscribe. It will be more this time around but how much more, we will see?

But who cares ????

At least we have the footy ................... :)

Off topic but just for the info.

Singtel have bought the rights to broadcast the English Premier League games for the next 3 seasons,,,for a cost of more than

SG$300 million
