Are there are current reports from people getting multiple/ 1YR Non Immi 'O' Visa's (based on marriage) in Tokyo? I will be in Japan in June for some business and would like to get a new Visa. Has anyone tried to apply there recently?

Japan has a reputation for not wanting to issue any kind of visa to non residents - do not recall seeing any report of a multi entry non immigrant visa being issued.

If you don't want to go to KL, I found the Consulate in HK very helpful when I needed a marriage visa & my paperwork was a mess & its enroute to Japan if you fancy an extend trip there or back.

Strange, others said HKG is a 'no go' for multiple 'O's. I just returned from HKG but have to go there every other month.
