The RED are so stupid & unimaginative; <snip>

(unsure if you are being facetious or not, doesn't matter - my reply fits either way)

Actually ct I think their leaders have outsmarted the government almost every step of the way for the past 6 weeks.

Crude maybe, but some crafty people are running this thing for the Reds, as evidenced by the choice pick of the 3 Army officers attacked (the Colonel killed) on the 10th and its ramifications on the upcoming Army leadership reshuffle.

I can see that if the Junta doesn't call an election soon then civil unrest will tear the country into pieces!

Trans: "If the government doesn't do what we tell them immediately, now, today and without delay we will, with a self-centered joy in destruction, tear the country to pieces!"

Yours in democracy and love and a sharpened bamboo pole through your F'ing eye if dare disagree you elitist exploiting mother F'er.

BTS' security cameras confirm M79 grenades fired from Lumpini Park: deputy BKK governor

Deputy Bangkok Governor Thirachon Manomaipibul said video records from security cameras of the BTS' Saladaeng station showed that m79 grenades were fired from the Lumpini Park Thursday night.

Thirachon said the security cameras of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration were crippled by red-shirt protesters who put black plastic bags over the camera or turned the cameras into the sky.

Thirachon said the BMA sought cooperation from the BTS to check feeds of its security cameras and saw that the grenades were fired from the direction of the Lumpini Park into the crowds on Silom Road.

Now Army says no force will be used to disperse the protesters -- I thought this was a promise (to disperse). See? Red's outsmarted the gov't and Army again. They are winning. I think they will get all they want or very close to it.

Anupongs statement was contradictory: it is an attack on the monarchy, we will defend the monarchy, we wont use force to clear protestors, we wont let Thais kill each other. Go figure but it sure seems to confuse

And each day some more time passes and legislative business gets done. Soon the rains will come and that may thin the crowd a bit more. Playing for time it looks like.

They are certainly making it hard to support them. However, I wonder if they mean they will simply continue to obey international rules. Obviously they can move in fairly timidly to disperse the crowd and then when the first deadly weapon is hurled by the red army, they can defend themselves.

interesting article here from Japan Times

better than any other news readings. Recommended to read.

You are so correct elcent :) well written in a nutshell :D

Sin- Ming Shaw of Japan Times understands the situation far better than so many Western farangs on this forum

highly uneducated article by an intellextual needing to have an opinion to justify his extistance.

Its a simple clash of titan in that great chess board . nothing to do with " the people" who are moved like pawns without their own thoughts nor will.

Thaksin propoganda machine moves in to overdrive. Sock Puppet Rangers Morph!

" Brainwashed "

"The Red Shirts – from the same nation – say they are fighting for their democratic right to have an election..."

Now that's just not true. They aren't fighting for this. They are making a non-negotiable demand that the parliament is dissolved immediately and Abhisit and Suthep to leave the country. The demand for house dissolution has been reduced from 15 days to immediate. That is not fighting for the democratic right to have an election.

Their demands are, they have said, non-negotiable and they are have also said that they will continue with their present occupation and try to expand it until those demands are met.

It's astounding that many seem to desperately want to read this conflict through a romantic revolutionary narrative. There seems to be a desperate desire to see the Red leadership as what they would like them to be rather than what they are and what they do. Gosh is one of these.

There is a great deal of international respect for the Red movement and to a lesser extent Thaksin. This doesn't necessarily come from a deep positive attraction to them, but emanates for a deep hatred of their yellow enemies, the oppressors.

oh really? i read your posts, none of them supply any evidence, you just SHOUT.

you spew hatred & division.

if you've time..., would you please be so kind to supply at least rudimentary evidence for your posts?

*

"the oppressors", don't make me laugh.

a) oppressor: thaksin

B) oppressor: a group claiming "peaceful" means - research tweets, pics, videos of intimidation

*

btw, thanks for another insight into a mind who's able to conceive reality as you do ;-)

But if they just have an election then there wont be any need to debate it any further :D

If everyone gives in and lets them get their way - particularly in light of the way some of these low lives have carried out their demo - this place will be so much more worse off.

Does mom know you are on the computer again??

So what if the DON'T get the leader they want in the next elections? It's ok with you if they come back and start all over again? Or what if they DO get the leader they want and the Yellows don't like it and the start the next round... why can't you see that giving in to a minority that is run but a crook will NOT solve anything the elections will fix nothing if they happen under threat or fear of more bloodshed

Why don't the owners of central hire some buses and pay each person 5000 baht to get on them and send them home. Drop them off up North everybody is happy.

For 5K you'll find 2 million people easily, who want to be driven back "home". Some probably a few times. :)

Please Note Red shirt leaders

To day the courts made it clear what there verdict means

"Negotiations must be aimed at finding a solution for the whole country, not just the Red Shirts, they are just part of society," he added. "We have to uphold the rule of law."

Very clever negotiating on belhalf of the elite

i read your posts. i'll give you _exactly_ _one_ day of my attention, ok?

a) what does it matter if people of isaan never voted for this guy? you wanna tell me that "people of isaan" are now in charge of well-being of a whole country? btw, it's just today nattawhut _out-ruled_ that democrats would be allowed to do pr for a "general election"

-> so, in essence, you're saying: YOU talk for the "people of isaan" & everyone who disagrees with your self-grandeur has to be... "removed"?

B) btw, who's "elite" in your terms _today_? as latest posts show, even "middle class" is now perceived to be oppressing elite? that has to be re-educated... etc etc. oh really?

c) oooh, you indulge violence as eta or ira? why not state publicly, we're freedom-fighters/terrorists. we want to overthrow this society by violent means. we just hate you. & we enjoy harming others.

*

btw, i'd appreciate if you'd be able to train yourself to quote. thanks. it's kind of a convenience for follow-up. no, i'm not hinting at state of your rational faculties - your comments speak for themselves.
