You can do whatever you like to do in this regard but need to understand that any work in Thailand for a foreigner requires a work permit.

Presumably your wife is doing this from home so nobody will ever know or care.

Do you have a work permit for sending this message to the forum, I'm sure it would come under due diligence which is work in itself if you really wanted to dissect the law to the most absurd and pedantic level.
