Retirement Renewal

Featured Replies

My retirement visa is due for a renewal June 6, I have my 800k in the bank seasoned already. How early can I get it renewed? I am getting close to my 800k mark in the bank and I don't want to have to bring more money in from the states at these rates.

thanks for any help

You can renew as early as 30 days before your current permisison to stay ends. (In case of a necessity they will often extend even earlier).

Note that you can also use a combination of money in the bank and yearly income, as long as they total 800,000.

Usually 30 days, if you can last out 'til 7 May.

renewed today, piece of cake, one month early. I have heard debate on how long the 800 needs to be seasoned, I asked the boss, 2 months for the first time and 3 months for renewals.

There has never been any question on retirement AFAIK - the question is for marriage as the original police order only said 2 months - but in the case of marriage some are asking the same 3 months for renewals as for retirement.

Jomtien current info is two months early welcome for retirement extensions without any excuse needed. Perhaps three months but I wouldn't try that.

My reply was in reference to the above - people tend to change threads. :)
