Visa To Germany (for Thai)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I would like to bring my thai girlfriend to Germany for a holiday. We plan to go for about 2 weeks.

Does she require visa to go Germany? What is the procedure for her to make Visa and how soon can she get it? What documents does she need for her to apply Visa to Germany?

Is is easy for Thai to apply Visa to Germany for holiday/sightseeing?

Cheers!

FP.

Indeed she needs a visa for Germany. That requires a passport and she should have a secure job. A letter from her employer that states that she can work there again. Just in case she'd work in a bar, she would never get a visa, too many of them never come back.

Another problem is you need to make a full package, including flight, insurance and so on. Best you contact an agency in Pattaya, Bangkok, or Phuket.

That means you'll have to spend a lot of money, if something goes wrong, you'll have to pay for all damage. Just imagine; she’s really angry destroying many things, would be your part to pay for all.

I'd think about it, don't get me wrong, some of them are just trying to get there and they are gone. Be careful, if it's a bar girl. Good Luck.

:)

As all information is given allready:

I think you can immagine why not!? May if ..... over 70 years and over 120 kg ..... :D

She will need a lot of things, unless you have a child (with German passport) together with her, then it will be a lot easier and much more faster.

If you don't have a child then she need beside other things:

Health Insurance, Enough Money in the Bank, a letter from her Employer, if there is any, stating where, since when and as what she is working and that the Employer give a holiday for a certain amount of time, several pictures, a flight booking (she don't need the actual ticket when she apply for the visa) and most importantly, she need a reason to comeback to Thailand. This reasons could be children in Thailand, owning Land, Condo or other similar things.

Keep in mind that it will be very difficult to get a visa if the officer at the Embassy suspect that she is a Bar girl. In any case, she will most likely must attend a interview at the embassy, and if the only thing she know about you is your first name, forget about the visa.

Before you apply for the visa, you must make a appointment via phone, you can find the number at German Embassy. Detailed requirements can be found on Visa requirements.

Just remember, the requirements shown on the embassy website are only the minimum requirements. The officer can always ask for further documents, as I mentioned above already.
