Take the BTS is Phaya Thai, and then the #52 bus. It's cheaper.

For a business-related issue, you should first try the Immigration office at Chamburi Square. It's a lot closer.

Chamchuree Square is not an immigration office; it is a BOI facility. Unless employer is a registered BOI company will need to go to Chaeng Wattana.

Don't know about Sathorn but it took 40 minutes from Sukhumvit Soi 75/1 leaving at 10:30 this morning. My route was expressways all the way from Sukhumvit Soi 62 to Chaeng Watthana/Lak Si exit on Don Muang toll way.

When I was at the CW Immo office last week, I asked the officer giving out queue numbers what happens if they can't service the queue number during regular hours.

She said they continue working into the evening until all that day's queue number recipients are serviced -- which sometimes requires them to stay until 7:30 p.m. There is no carry-over to the next day.

Pretty remarkable if true. (And also another reason to be particularly polite and respecful to the CW officers.)

So the relevant question (I neglected to ask) is what time they stop giving out queue numbers.

It is a Thai govt. office, so office hrs. are 8:00 - 4:30 p.m.

The only time I was there, they closed during the lunch hour, 12:00 -1:00 p.m.

Official immigration office opening hours are:

Open: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:30

Closed for Lunch: 12:00 - 13:00

Closed Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays
