Greetings all!

Can one of you guys please tell me the name of the area where the new airport is set to be opened? and when, also if anybody can give me some input as far as the type of area it might be i.e. housing, business, rent prices etc. Thanks everybody mucho appreciated.

The airport will be South East of Bangkok, on the right if you travel along highway 7 towards Pattaya. Check out any of the airports around in Thailand, they all seem to have displays up about it....

The new airport "Suvarnabhumi" is in Samut Prakan. I used to work out in that area. There is a lot of industry out there "Nikom" as the Thais say, Industrial Sites, I think the English say. I was at one point thinking of buying a house out near there as at the time the prices were very low( a few years back). Now, I believe the prices are ridiculous as it really is just an extension of Bangkok.

Dirty, polluted, terrible traffic jams, dangerous area. Better than Central Bangkok but not much. I would go a bit further if I were now working in bangkok, maybe Bang Saen or round about there. I don't know that area though.

Great golf courses around the airport.

New expressway on the Chon Buri highway ready to open for the new airport near the Lat Krabang Industrial estate (no toll ways as yet though).

Many new housing projects around Lat Krabang area 10mins from new airport prices starting from 2.5.million on the Floraville development.

New airport is planned to open new year....so I have heard??
