Ribbed Belt Poly V

Featured Replies

Anyone know where I can get hold of a Poly-V belt in Pattaya.

Been around to a lot of car repair shops as well as the mom and pop stores along Sukhumvit.

A few of them have directed me to a shop about 200m after the police box on Sukhumvit/Pattaya Nua, but that shop doesn't carry them.

There is an auto air con shop on Chaiyapruek 2 on the way up to the sports stadium, about 100m before the railway line, first block of shophouses after the market on the right if you are heading towards the sports stadium, on that block is BTV, then a couple of shops later is the auto air con shop, he has a lot of belts there, dont know if he has the particular one you need but worth a try.

Thanks for the suggestion LennyW, sounds like a great place to check out, and it's quite close to where I live as well.

Micro V Belts like this for use outside the auto industry are rarely kept in stock, and are usually ordered on a piece by piece basis from the main wholesalers.

Order time is about one day (usually shipped EMS). Be armed with the physical dimensions, as well as any code data that may be printed on the existing belt.

start with make and model of car and then find thai dealers on internet is best i think

Thanks for the suggestions!

Well no dice at the aircon shop on Soi Chaiyapruek 2.

Have found it for sale on Amazon, but it's quite a hassle to order from the states, and it'll take quite a while as well to get it here.

It seems like most of these belts are manufactured in China, have found one manufacturer in BKK, but no retail or wholesale places.

Guess I'll have to get my girl to call the manufacturer in BKK and find out if they have any customers that sell these in Thailand.

As soundman says, this is a belt outside the auto industry. It's actually for a fitness machine bought at Big C about 5 years ago.

I bought one 2 weeks ago for a Toyota Vios 1.5E MT. Try Sulhumvit Westside almost next to the ESSO gas station near the South Pattaya Road - Sukhumvit Intersection.

If they don't have it, their other shop a few 100 meters down the road will have it.

Thanks for the suggestion farangpattaya. Stopped by today, second shop after the Esso station, they sent me on to their parts store 50-100 meters further down the road.

I showed them my broken belt and she brought out the Toyota belt for comparison, Bando brand. But that profile is different, these are multi ribbed belts with a square profile.

Unfortunately they too had no idea as to where to buy Poly-V belts or where to order them from.
