Doubling Up On Bcp

Featured Replies

I use Oilezz bcp for my skin. Im going to be going away for a few days so was thinking to double pack the pill as i would like to skip the inconvenience of a period at that time.

I recall some time back doubling up the pack and my period still came. Maybe i messed up..i cant recall. I was wondering if because its a low dose pill, maybe even doubling up would cause bleeding, so no point in doubling up.

I would like to know if anyone has has similar experience of taking a low dose pill and if they had any breakthrough bleeding, or were able to double up with no issues.

The ingredients of Oilezz are:

Active Ingredient: 7 blue tab each containing desogestrel 0.025 mg, ethinylestradiol 0.04 mg, 15 white tab each containing desogestrel 0.125 mg, ethinylestradiol 0.03 mg

Thank you.

By doubling up you mean, back to back, right? Continuing on the pill without taking a break?

I don't take a multidose pill I am afraid, but when I don't skip any days I don't have my period...

yes, sorry, i mean back to back. Yes..bit concerned about the fact they arent all the same level. Wondered if i should skip the first week and go straight to the 2nd. Confusing!

It is confusing as you are on a biphasic pill.

continue taking the second strength, i.e. take some more white pills until such a time as it is convenient then stop, and after your period resume a normal cycle (will mean ditching part of a pack).
