Like Totster says, it is not unknown for immigration to extend the 30 day arrival permit, but it is by no means certain that they will.

A visa run to Poipet on one of the many buses will cost about 2000 Baht and takes less than a day (assuming you will be in BKK of course).

OR

You still have time to get a tourist visa from your local consulate which will solve all the problems.

To insure you are allowed to board the aircraft obtain a tourist visa prior to travel. Or you may have to buy a return ticket within 30 days at the last minute.

You don't say where you are or your passport but if you are 100% sure airline will not block you the extension of 10 days or a border crossing for another 30 days are options but the tourist visa will not cost that much more if available where ever you are.

And about the tourist visa extension, is it possible to go to immigration ask for extension any time or should you go on the last days of you current visa?

I mean, when you go to immigration, do they extend your visa from the date you go there, or does extension starts the last day of your current visa?

Thanks.

The 30 day extension of stay of a 60 day tourist visa will normally be from the end of your current stay stamp so you can go early but I would always try to make it within the last week just in case it is not normal. :o
