Supporting G/f's Son And Grandson For 9 Years

I've been on a Retirement Visa now for about six years and have lived in the same house in CM for eight years with my Thai g/f......but we're not married. I financially support her 30 year old son and her 16 yr old grandson who live in the same village....eg pay school fees etc, built a house for them, bought some pigs etc.

My question is : Can I get a Non Imm visa as a provider/supporter for these people? Does any such thing exist?

Non-Imm-O based on visiting friends (from Perth) - Yes - you must do visa runs every 90 days.

Non-Imm-O based on Married to a Thai - NO - as you're NOT married to your GF.

So how do you feel about supporting a 30 year old non-relative and a non-related grand son? Just wondering? Do you intend to do this for the rest of your life. You said you're retired - so I'm just concerned.

Perth, Australia will issue you a multiple non-O based on visiting friends if you have a copy of you friends ID-card and a simple note from here asking for a visa.

You will not get an extension of stay based on this from immigration. For that you wil have to continue to apply based on retirement.

Whatchamacallit.....I don't mind helping the g/f's son and grandson. It actually gives me a sense of satisfaction that I can help out. I like them too. The boy's 16 and will be earning an income within the next five years or so. The son's pigs will in coming years reap a living income. The rest of my life? I don't know where I'll (we'll) be in five years. I just don't like the idea of having to bring over another large wad of $A to stick in the vault of a Thai bank to qualify for the retirement visa in the current economic/political climate......among other slightly smelly goings on.

The financial requirements for extension of stay based on retirement are 800k in Thai bank OR 65k/month income OR a combination of the two to reach 800k. If you have income/pension from abroad you may be able to use income option to qualify, or a combination with bank balance, avoiding needing to transfer in a 'large wad'.

Otherwise multiple entry Non-O visa from Perth on basis of visiting friends looks like best option.
