The Nation: Urgent @jin_NT has called Seh Daeng number. One guy picked it up/said Seh Daeng was injured in the head and in ICU at Hua Chiew Hospital.

The news just gets better! :))

Seh Daeng reportedly shot http://twitter.com/tulsathit

Anupong stated awhile back that Sae Daeng was a problem that the military would solve. If this report is true then it seems that it may have been true. The next issue is who shot him (again if true) the reds or the military?

Very interesting that Sae Daeng ramps up the Red shirt violent profile considerably and then is the first to leave the scene, leaving them somewhat headless, perhaps.

Please somebody put an end to this. The Reds have some leaders one can talk to, Saeh Daeng definitely does not belong to this circle.

I hope that everything will be over soon, but here in Pattaya I saw quite a few Red Shirts travelling around, but no idea where they head for?!

Do they read my comments here????

Now if they hit the generators and Aircon for the red leaders container

I become prescient....

From a tactical point of view,

and as payback for likely doing the same April 10th, it was a logical decision to make.

Cut off control from the leader who controls the most violent faction

and has the strongest tactical knowledge. And sends the message that

the Army means business this time.

So we await confirmation and developments.

Slowly slowly. I wouldn't put it past the army to spread as much dis-information as they see fit right now. I am not saying it isn't a good thing that this idiot may be out of the fray, it just all seems a little too convenient.

Leaving Arisaman ----- who quite likely is trying to find a Dr's uniform and looking for a ticket out right about now.

CNN reporting red leader killed by sniper fire

nothing on their website, so .........???

No, the TV version. They have someone reporting live from Wireless Rd.

What is the status right now?

I´m in Denmark - trying to find any news channels showing live feed...not possible...

Looks like the army has indeed thought about this and used his own tactics against him (Sae Daeng) vis a vis sniping at commanding officer.

live by the sword, die by the sword. if thats true, thats what he gets for bragging about his alleged kills.

ladies and gentlemen

this is 18.00h Thailand time, today is May 13, 2010 !

a new moment in the history !

We only get TNT and another Thai channel that are suppose to be news channels. But, when it comes to covering the Reds, we get about 2 minutes of pictures every hr. All we see is another Red Shirt leader shouting and strutting across the state like a peacock and looking like one of those peachers at revivals tyring to save people. Then it shows some of the old women (and man are they an ugly bunch!) cheering, jumping up and down and the rest fanning themselves sitting on the road. How much money is it going to take to clean up the filth these people will leave behind if they are moved out in the next two or three months. I do hope some of Thaksin's payoffs to the protestors will begin running low in the next 6 months. There is no way to have an election b/c the Red Shirts appear to be here to stay. The Thai Army is the worst I have ever seen. They run if the Reds come at them with spears. When the Reds run at anybody they should be dropped on the spot. The mean bodily harm and are trying to kill you. So many of these military rank and file and the generals need to be put on trial for their cowardice. I don't think there is a weaker military in the world. God, haven't we had enough of these - I could think of a thousand bad words to call each and every one of them - *^$#@&* Red Shirt revolutionary terrorists?~

GET THE hel_l OUT OF BANKOK YOU RED SHIRTS NEANDERTHALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The news is very scattered about Sae Daeng reports saying hit in shoulder , hit in chest , hit in head and in icu

we will have to wait and find out which one is the truth.

To add, they tried to call Sae Daeng and his aide answered on the phone, while the mobile phones are reported to be blocked????

According to TNN one of the Red military leaders has been shot... that is how the wife is hearing it. ?

What channel you guys watching? All the news I am getting seems to only have reporters who are too scared to do their job.

TNN

number 7 on U.B.C.

Thanks.

We are True but can watch TNN online ... http://www.thaitvonline.tv/tnn-24/ (takes a couple minutes to load but then streams very well even full screen)

Since I hate waiting for the translations from the GF, I am trying to find some English TV online that might be covering this but no luck. CNN has an international stream but looks like all prepared stories and nothing live (so far) http://edition.cnn.com/video/flashLive/live.html?stream=1

No actually. I missed that. No, I was thinking about what my wife believes, which is that Sae Daeng isn't really working for the red Shirt cause at all. That's hard for me to believe, though she's usually right. I wonder who all the witnesses are.

it might be part of Sondhi's wonderful world of ASTV/PAD but at least it is in English. Can't believe I would ever plug for anything that guy had anything to do with.
