Clashes Continue, Turning Central Bangkok In Virtual Warzone

Sorry, but you have the idiotic argument here. There have been 17 civilians killed and 0 soldiers killed. In total over 100 civilians are injured and the army spokesman on TV just reported 1 injured soldier. Just look at the balance. It says it all about who's killing who.

More info needed. How may of those injured were active combatants in the red insurgency? They are fighting a war so they are war casualties. Of course in any war, there are always innocents killed. Why didn't the reds accept the road map? Answer- THAKSIN. So who is responsible for this mess? THAKSIN.

Nothing?

What about you Pornsasi? Anything? What is different between then and now?

I dont see on that old video any red shirt shooting . That was at a time when reds

10th April were all in red .

Come on.

Who is it then? Tell me.

On the 10th April ?

Could be anyone , police , soldiers , black shirt protecting the red shirts coz army shooting at em ,

or simply a few terrorists without any allegiances

My point is that those are not reds . Reds were dancing and shaking hands with soldiers when the

gun fire erupted . I saw the videos

LOL

ah ... so now Reds aren't reds they are fake reds or police or the date is wrong .....

as for "dancing and shaking hands with the soldiers when the gunfire erupted . I saw the videos" ... oye Vey!

Please show us how the reds were dancing and shaking hands with the soldiers when the gun fire erupted... I saw the red attacks on ThaiCom and 1St Reg and it wasn't dancing and shaking hands. I saw the video from the day live on Thai TV ... they weren't dancing and shaking hands when Sae daeng's ronin opened fire. The government troops advanced. They were fired upon. no dancing involved.

I'll post substantiating video (or rather links to them and TVF threads corroborating my statements) AFTER pornsasi backs up his lies with evidence.

For the reds an olive branch.

To demonstrate how much you truly care about the civilian/mob and their safety, the army will pull back in every direction 300 meters and will guarantee that no shots will be fired.

In turn, the red leaders will instruct all of their combatants to cease immediately while all protestors who wish to leave the rajaprasong area, can do so.

Somehow I don't see jutaporn agreeing to such a plan even though he is deeply concerned about the loss of life and injuries.

If the army pulls back

the only thing that is going to happen is the red shirts will move forward to full the space

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience ... well, that comes from poor judgment.

In a modern country a parent or guardian who puts a child in jeopardy (like, for instance, refuses to evacuate the child from a 'live fire' area) is liable to criminal charges. The red leadership failing to encourage the parents/guardians to get the kids out of there can also face criminal charges.

The assault of a hospital, the use of human shields is a war crime. (Geneva Convention)

Even maoist guerilla tactics respect it, Taliban not. (US with the bombing of Hanoi Hospital didn't it too, but they apologized)

Any recent film or pictures of red carying firearms ?

If none , no need to reply .

Thanks

Any recent pictures showing soldiers killing anyone? See people falling but haven't seen the shooters. So, army must not be killing anyone.

Many videos of soldiers shooting , none of red shooting .

Have a pick here and check reports from hospital .

17 deads civilians so far .

Great show Abhisit ...

red shirts involved in the illegal occupation and insurgency cannot be counted as civilians since they have declared war upon the government issued their own ID cards etc etc. have they not given up their status as civilians in forming their own army?

The red shirts have not declared war (show me the declaration) The matter has got out of hand and both the reds and yellows are to blame equally. It's like playing poker "I will see your 3 dead and raise you 20" Niether side will back down and both think they are right and both have valid points but to plundge the country into Kaos is wrong. It is almost time for the UN to send in independent peace keepers and thos from the region ie Singapore, Phillipines and Australia to provide some peace and stability. Disolve the government call fresh elections overseen by independents and bring Thailand back to the beautiful country it was.

For real? I assume money to their surviving families then. That was the kind of thing Saddam Hussein did. He would pay families money to send their children on suicide bombing missions. TERRORIST missions, that is.

Would you go and take a photo and video of someone who WILL shoot you if you do?

Why so many photos of soldiers shooting? Cause people dare to take photos and videos of them, knowing they won't get killed for it.

Then again even if the redshirt blew your head off, you'd still deny they use any weapons beyond footclappers...

:):D:D . Cut the BS . The red shirts never shot anyone . Thanks

Who shot 100 soldiers? Who blew up jet fuel depots? Who blew up power pylons, who fired 16 M79 grenades yesterday? Who shot the soldier out by Don Muang? Who shot the soldier in yesterday's video of the reds dragging unarmed soldiers out of a truck? Who has bombed roughly 80 locations in Thailand since March? Name 10 of the places.

Please write your answers clearly, partial credit will be given where applicable, you have 30 minutes.

As a bonus question worth 10 points, what Thai ex-leader was going to work with Seh Daeng to persue the fight to the finish against the govenment rather that compromise with Abhisit's 5 point reconciliation plan?

THE NATION: Nation photographer Chaiwat ws shot in Din Daeng.

THE NATION: Confirm. Chaiwat Pumpuang, Nation photographer, is shot in his leg. He has been sent to the hospital.

An awful lot of journalists and photographers being shot. Suppress the media at all cost!

Red Mentality ....

First ... Ignore the fact that the reds have stolen billion of dollars from the thai people with there illegal seizure of this area.

Second .. Ignore all the hate, threats and violence being preached by red leaders as well as ALL the violence and illegal actions they have done the last few months

Then take the attitude that ... if you cannot prove we did it then we didn't and if you can prove we did it then it wasn't us but it was fake reds.

Also, we will call this a civil war when it suites us but deny this when it doesn't as we do with everything from saying the police and army are with us (watermelons) to how the police and army are tools of the gov't breaking all international laws. Same as international press and government's being on our side and agreeing with us until that is they don't and become victims of the lies.

It is like trying to debate with a mentally challenged 9-year old who doesn't realize how sick he is in everyone's eyes.

Tacky being an ex cop.. Many in the police seen as being pro Tacky..

Not buying it yet. None of the Thai or foreign journalists have reported any police joining the reds so far, yet the Telegraph (published some 6,000km away) has made a headline out of it and only referring to the police twice in the entire article.

Let's see if any more reports on the same come through...

Was also stated on BBC yesterday..

wearing a police uniform does not a cop make

a ''uniformed cop'' pictured at the hospital invasion, was recognised by a Nation reporter, from a photofit and when arrested he turned out to be a driver for a senior rank Pattaya cop and his red shirt leader wife

he was paid 500,000 baht to launch an RPG at the emerald buddha and has been singing to DSi ever since

the BBC and Telegraph probably just saw a ''fake cop'' amongst the ''fake reds'' masquerading as peaceful Red protestors

Was just about to go take a shower to the outside toilet, when I noticed a lot of sharp pieces on the floor. Well, looking around it wasn't hard to spot the culprit.

This shot came from the southern side, through the concrete wall and tiling and still cracked the tiles on the other side's wall.

The height comparison of the holes is near identical, and being on 5th floor that would mean that it was shot from a fair distance, not just under the house.

FYI: the red stage is south, soldiers are under the house and towards the north, so there's really not much secret as to which side of the conflict this came from.

EDIT: Order of photos: from inside, wall that was hit; opposite wall; from outside; bullet

So to be overly clear, you are saying that someone most likely residing in the red shirt camp fired this bullet?

So there are absolutely NO misunderstandings - this is a photo taken through the hole in the wall towards where it came from.

The second photo is compass next to the hole, showing which direction it came from.

Building is on Rajaprarop Road, which is facing the southern enclave directly to the south ~ 500 m.

That's nice work Tomaz but you can't put clear evidence right in front of these people and expect them to see it for what it is. To them black is white always or something like"fake reds" must be behind it and so on........

That's a little too close mate be careful!

Dude it don't matter red or army bullets kill the same.  The camp is surrounded and it could have been from the otherside, just say'en.  Anyway unless your a part of this action yourself Please move away to a safe place.

animatic Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level - then beat you with experience.

Idiots are the pro-yellow , pro-violence fanatics here , who support soldiers shooting randomly at

other thais , civilians .

Idiots are those that think that this is going to solve the problem in Thailand in a durable way .

And idiots are those who ignore the foreign reports , and more to the point support

those that are shooting journalists .

I just watched a BBC video on the net and they interviewed an English guy who had joined the protesters and was with them in their camp - <deleted> now we have some idiot foreigner joining this rebellion - thats just what we need to turn the locals against the foreigners......who is this <deleted>?

I think his name is Richard Cranium :):D

Sure reprimand for 'off topic' again but Oz has high profile politician named Richard Face. Bet he could fight better than the boy named Sue. :D

Actually, his name was J. Richard Face (how bad could the J. be), Labor member for Charlestown in the NSW gov't. From memory became Minister for Gaming and Racing, until found guilty of corruption which was hardly a surprise to anyone who knew the mongrel. Ex-plumber, turned copper, turned pol, turned convict. And you'd lose that bet.

Thanks for qualification Mick. I'm a Newcastle boy from Oz previously married to one of the journo's who busted him. I'll go ya on the bet though skippy. What odds?? She'll be right anyway cobber.

You take the bust for 'off topic'

You'd still lose. Took a swing at me and got sat on his arse, back when he was still a (off-duty) copper. And my last name is not Tyson! If you get down to Lamai, Samui, I'll tell you over a beer.

Which it would be if it were actually true.

And the only reason that ANY women and children are

in the red encampment is the Reds themselves. There were

great numbers of warnings thart it was time to evacuate women and children.

They were uniformly ignored by Red Leaders.

Do they need to create scenes of untold horror to embarrass with?

It seems not tactic is too low to meet their aims of regaining

full control of Thailand's purse strings.

The madman Arisman warned the governement that he will burn Bangkok .

He did not do it , did he ?

Perhaps the red women did not think the governement would shoot other thais

Dont you think ?

Anyway the reds protest for what they believe is right . Warning them that the

army will shoot them is not making the shooting right .

Finally had Abhisit done his job of arresting Arisman and Sae Daeng rather

then shooting at unarmed civilians , we would not be here now , as all the

other red leaders had accepted his roadmap (which he negated few days later).

edit typo

To do that arresting you mention would have had the same effect as we see today.

So they had to wait and let the red leaders show their stupidity and duplicity to the populace.

That is well and truly understood by all now, except red apologists here,

and time is up for Redland in Bangkok.

If you fight with the army you are likely to get shot, and if you make the decision to fight an army you should not complain if you do get shot.

Dont see why thats so difficult for the reds to understand.
