I might suggest that you cut the bs sir. I noticed you left the children out but Im sure your next post will describe them as willing protestors wel informed of why they are there and what they are protesting for - Im not sure ANY of the reds know why they are REALLY there. Also how many have had their IDs taken from them and are there under threat and intimidation? You had it right mate they are real terrorists and when a ten year old boy gets shot directly from the actions of one of your terrorists trying to run a road block you can stand back and say look how evil the govt is.

In US or Europe i saw many protests having mothers with children . I concurr its a mistake .

They should not do that , just that they are not the only one mvt doing that .

Terrorist are ppl putting bombs in public places to kill tens of innocent civilians , or shooting

at those civilians . I really wonder who are the terrorists here on that account ?

Protesting against perceived injustice is not terrorism.

If the reds were terrorists the foreign press would have said so . None of them did .

They don't understand the whole picture. These people are not "protesters". Protesters don't wear uniforms and carry weapons. They are an invading army of insurgents. The Issan Rouge.

Was just about to go take a shower to the outside toilet, when I noticed a lot of sharp pieces on the floor. Well, looking around it wasn't hard to spot the culprit.

This shot came from the southern side, through the concrete wall and tiling and still cracked the tiles on the other side's wall.

The height comparison of the holes is near identical, and being on 5th floor that would mean that it was shot from a fair distance, not just under the house.

FYI: the red stage is south, soldiers are under the house and towards the north, so there's really not much secret as to which side of the conflict this came from.

EDIT: Order of photos: from inside, wall that was hit; opposite wall; from outside; bullet

That's not nice!!!

Just to understand it right,

you mean the shot came from the red shirts, right?

I am not the brightest.

Of course thats what he meant . Do you think he would post it otherwise ?.

I was arrested with my gf , she was rapped by army officers , do you believe me ?

Well you should not ...

Problem with his creation is that so far i did not see any red with firearms in any video of yesterday/today

(anybody has a link ?)

Must be soldiers shooting in the air and missing :)

I think Pheu Thai should be very careful for what they wish for itf they want to go to The World Court, then there esteemed fugitive dictator might have a bit of explaining to do. :)

so they asked the 10 year old boy to go home... he said no (may be he didn't had one) .. so army said since u are a mature 10 year old guy u are responsible for your safety, we will spray bullets all around and mind you we already asked u to go home ..you 10 year old boy....

thts some responsible trigger happy guys out dere....

What would you have done Roger? You ask/tell the kid to go home and he flips you the bird. Do you leave your post to chase him away? What are your chances of catching the little mongrel? Do you shoot him (intentionally)?

Now here comes the van. You wave him down, but he doesn't slow. @ around 60km/hr he will close a 50m gap in 3 secs, more likely they have 2. The road block commander has to make decision, then issue an order to fire - 1 sec if he's on the ball. they aim for the tyres, and bullets skitter off the road and one hits the kid.

Of course, if they had just taken out the driver first burst, then they would be called trigger happy.

The kid didn't fall from the sky... he must be living dere to be present dere at such hours... and the Army shud have checked it before they set up the perimeter... I don't care if they dealt with tht drunkard van driver but wud never comprehend a kid shot under any circumstances...

there? should? that? would?

Sorry Prof. Agord, I wll keep disaptng u wid my lnguage skills..n u keep try n crrct me as ofen s u cn .. :)

Englishnews: Natthawut: ready to talk, urges troolp withdrawal, stop shooting; may evacuate children, elders to Wat Pathumwanaram

Would this seem to indicate that possibly support is waning for the red Shirt Brigade (mis) leadership ?

If so that is not in its self a bad thing, whilst I have no qualms at all concerning the aims of a fairer society I do have serious doubts about the way the movement has been hi-jacked to serve one mans ( if one could actually call him a man) interests.

the rank and file followers and supporters of the movement have indeed been led down the wrong road by self serving arrogant bullies..

Time to face the music ( Funeral March ?) for Arisman ( complete with bullet proof vest and steel helmet unlike the poor bloody infantry ) Jutaporn Veera and Weng all as well armoured as Arisman.

However the likelihood is that Weng is about to swing through the trees back to the jungle like he did some 30 years ago..

I just went up to Rajprasong if anyone starts an eyewitness thread...have a few pics from the phone as well.

Yes eye witness accounts from obsesses people who have no issues with breaking the law would be a great source of information.

From: http://nationsstate.blogspot.com/2010/05/c...in-bangkok.html

Note: This shot was taken while trapped in the middle of a raging gunfight between the military on the BTS pedestrian bridge on Silom road and unseen, but certainly active, red shirt guards shooting M-16 (which i saw but could not photograph the night before right after Seh Deang was shot inside the red barricades) or other war rifles. There were countless thunderous explosions which reverberated and shook the buildings and might have been M79 grenades.

Bold for focus.

Some gruesome pictures but still no photographs of Reds firing any weapons outside the barricades yesterday or today.. Why when the world has press camped with both sides

That overhead pass was full of armed troops last week. I can't understand the military tactics. Why wasn't this rioter hit with a rubber bullet in the legs? Why are the protesters being allowed to control the area when surely a few volleys of rubber bullets would send them scattering?

There's a lot of explaining to be done after this is all over - it really doesn't make much sense.

Need to stop replying and encouraging you and your ilk.

Andrew,

In all my time at Thai Visa I have only ever placed one person on IGNORE. I now have two people on the list. I would strongly encourage everyone to place this person on IGNORE, eventually he will realise nobody is interested in his half truths, propaganda & forum nonesense (THEN hopefully he will go and play in the traffic lights).

Very generous saying 'half truths' Well done. Don't mean to be seen as pis---sing in your pocket. Strongly disagree with your posts on other topics... Tell you at a more appropriate time! Spade's a spade.

I won't do the 'ignore' thing now. Fascinated to see that others bite also. Makes me feel better. Wish I could just think it funny. Sure this gent does and is having a laugh on us...

I don't wish that he plays in the traffic lights. I hope he gets professional help and can lead a productive life. But for the grace of God etc...

YOu are the one way off base.

Thaksin is calling for returning to the negotiation table. I would much rather have Thaksin calling the shots than this braindead moron Abhisit.

You would sooner have an Criminal as a leader ?

I don't care if the leader is a 3 legged monster. As long as he can do whatever it takes to bring this country closer to reconciliation then he will have my support.

Abhisit has been harping on about reconciliation but the country has only divided under his leadership. He should never have been PM.

i am sorry Russel but i suspect you have:

Red Head Syndrome

this syndrome manifests itself by aggressively, demeaning anyone who dares to speak badly of a red shirt supporter

it can be cured by a short posting holiday from Thai Visa to give you some time to practice courtesy to other posters

i am sure you have probably had one period of enforced rehab before, but multiple doses are often required for serious sufferers

sadly for some, red head syndrome can be a terminal disease

its predicted by experts in the country where it was first detected that there will be many deaths before it completely eradicated

its rumored a reclusive, megalomaniac, billionaire has isolated the cure for this serious psychosis but refuses to administer it for free for the benefit of the sufferers.

he expects to come to the country of its origin and make more billions from exploiting this red syndrome phenomenon

although the authorities would like access to a swift and painless cure for the sufferer's, they are reluctant to accept this billionaires extreme terms and conditions for the release of the cure to the infected masses

consequently they continue to work tirelessly to try stop this virus spreading any further and to try to contain it to one single area of contamination in the centre of Bangkok

government agencies currently have this area surrounded and is monitoring the inhabitants activities

its become apparent that one major symptom of the syndrome is the fear of being in enclosed spaces

some badly infected individuals have been trying to break out of this isolation area and have reacted violently towards their guards

its feared that some of the inhabitants of this isolation area will succumb to the violent effects that this syndrome can create within the host

for these sad individuals there can be no cure.

Reading the various comments about riot police, protesters, army, snipers, terrorists, defensive, offensive, etc from pro and anti government posts, its amazing how the different sides see the same action/individual. I think the negotiations, past, present and future, between anti and pro govt. were probably entered and concluded with the same open mindedness that seem apparent on this forum topic, thus no agreement.

The red leaders have publicly mentioned, fight to the death, we will go on offense, burn and destroy, kidnap, injure and kill the opposition, etc. When people are injured/killed due to a decision they made, the blame is pointed elsewhere. This entire circle jerk points out the lack of maturity, knowledge of the real problems, solutions to same, willingness to listen/compromise, etc. These basic characteristics are a must for any government/group, for continued survival in today's world.

Until all parties involved recognize and provided solutions, with a road map to the solutions from the village thru the politicians running this country and their sponsors, I foresee no change for the better.

Can somebody post me a link to a red protestor, outside the barricade, firing live ammo, bcos I can only see soldiers shooting to kill. Links from yesterday only

For my own curiosity, why does it matter if the red "protestor" is inside or outside the barricade while shooting?

Sounds pretty desperate to me... Pretty much the same as the request that they would welcome foreign journalist back into the Red camp. If they weren't rioting in Bangkok annually then there would be no such requests. I can't see UN troops in Bkk... and any journalist that wants to go to the Red side... Have a chat with Mr. Rand.

Thaksin tweeted that govt "will end up as war criminals in the int'l criminal court."

I read it, then re-read it. I just can't believe he actually typed this :D .

I beloieve it for one simple reason....

He has been round the twist visibly since middle 2006.

No way can I do anything but fight this guys attempt to

take control of this lovely nation by force and propaganda indoctrination.

Completely correct you are, although some would disagree :) .

What amazes me is people actually pick this stuff up and run with it. :D

It would be fair to ask all posters to stop saying that the reds are firing M16s and M79 grenades until a video link is available. If you keep posting it is maybe a sign of your vunerability to not think for yourself and just listen to propaganda. Photos and video of soldiers shooting thais but no photos or video of the reds shooting anybody. Let see a pro government response to that

Tomaz, that's awesome.

How do you get around the apartment - commando crawl?

You're not playing any Barry Manilow really loud or doing anything to incite a neighbor I assume.

Keep your head down bud and I'd use the inside shower from now on.

Good luck.

and a great risk if they go inside the red camp .

Video footage here of Nelson Rand being shot, make of it what you will but for me this is the most damming video to come out in the last two months.

http://edition.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/vide...mayhem.cnn.html

Not to defend or attack any party,

but I remember the press being told to wear green arm bands, that say PRESS on them.

He is in a black shirt, no arm band and we know black shirts are thought to be Ronin Warriors.

He may have wandered into some thing he didn't quite understand well enough.

Really too bad what happened to him of course, I hope he has a complete recovery.

Since when is a t-shirt color a sign if somebody is a terrorist or not?

The green arm bands are handouts from the red shirts to journalist that are registered at the red shirt ' press center' There isn't a must to wear them for every reporter at the scene in Bangkok.

The security forces shot more or less at random into the people and at everybody without being much selective with their targets, and not only well aimed shot at armed terrorists who are an immediate threat to the life of others.
