What Is The Best Isp In Thailand / Bangkok ?

Featured Replies

I have heard it is CS Lox.

If you are a total internet junkie you can get an all yu can surf for one month card that allows you to be online all the time over a slow dial up connection. It costs about a few hundred baht a month. Plus 5 bht to the phone company for each dial up.

But what about for faster connections? Especially if you are online a lot?

I would like to hear some opinions and why you like that isp / service

TOT has a free internet service - all you pay for is the call at 3 baht each connect. They boot you off after 2 hours, though

I didn't know about that service. I will check it out.

What about for a broadband service that might be used many hours every day? It wouldn't have to be the very very fastest but something faster than the trickle i get over a poor dial up with a modem would be ideal, especially if there were a flat rate charge.

In Bangkok, True has pretty much cornered the market for ADSL. 590 baht p/m flat rate for 256K. I got free installation and free ADSL modem.

for speed and reliability, I would say ji-net (note: not hi-net)

You only share the adsl with no more than 9 other people. I've had it for almost 6 months and I am on everyday for hours upon hours.

Total downtime in 5 months no more than 24 hours total, spread out over about 12 instances (one instance was about 8 hours, average about 1.5 hours)

This would suck in the US but I think it's excellent here.
