Education Visa Without Paper From The Ministery Of Education In Kuala Lumpur

Featured Replies

Hello,

I learn thai language for 1 year in Krabi in "I learning" (Papinporn school), the school said they will give me a certificate but without the letter from the Ministry of Education and said it's enough to get an education visa, i have to go to Kuala Lumpur and get 3 months ED visa and after these 3 months i have to go to the office immigration in Krabi and i can get 1 year visa. It works like that ? Do you know anyone be refused Ed Visa because he hadn't the letter from the Ministry of Education ? Thanks a lot for your help :)

It depends on your nationality & which Embassy you go to, never got an ED from KL before - went to Hong Kong with just the letter from the school & got mine OK.

Once you get back from KL the school will send your Passport off to the MoE with a form, you'll need to do this more or less as soon as you get back as it can take them a while to process the application & you'll need your Passport back before the 90day limit is up with a letter from the school & the MoE (that the school will keep on file) to give to Immigration when you report in.

I just got my 3 month "ED" visa from Penang. There you must have the MOE paper for sure or they will not give it to you. I was told by my school (Patong Language School) that in Singapore you only need the school letter.
