I am curious to know what TV members feel is the most likely outcome of the red shirt protests.

Thai are too thick skinned to see logic or simple reasoning , they tend to be like small children , screaming , stamping thier feet , throwing things and demanding they get what THEY want regardless , of course , a Baht in the hand goes a long way to quell or form a quest .

The Red Shirts see the government as being weak and indecisive.... the government is jumping through hoops trying to "save face".... logic tells me there will be no real ending. Eventually everybody will go there separate way until another time and another opportunity.

hard to understand what will happen so having to rely on reports. did someone once state something about the first casualty of war being the truth?

it is a shame it is happening

It will end when they run out of tires.

It will end when they run out of tires.

I wish I had that on the list. It will be interesting to see what will happen when the tires run out.

The fizzle has already started. When the Reds squeeled for the UN, it showed they were through. No rogue general, no armed rebellion, IMO. Just a lot of thugs left. Armed? Yes. Dangerous? Yes. But with no direction, they'll soon be back to more mafia-like work and a steady paycheck.

Could be like Northern Ireland, but Bangkok will be the main hub of attacks, and innocent people will get caught up in the attacks as always happens

The conflict will spiral into civil war, the poor have been treated as second class citizens for too long.

If this is what you think, why don't you join them?

Barry

It won’t end and we can expect guerilla war and insurgency for the foreseeable future. They will go away for a while, but I don't expect them to keep silent.
