It's been some time that I want to build a Gaming rig but being not very skilled in PC building, I was wondering if someone could help me by recommending the right components for a good gaming rig at a decent price.

Thank you,

M

Even although this is the gaming section . I think you maye get better answers in the internet, computing technology forum. So i will move it there. A few years back when i was PC gaming i got some great advice from members.

What is your budget ? That depends on the advice i can give you.

I would say around 50-55K Baht (screen not included), I suppose it should be enough to get something decent. I do not want to build the fastest gaming rig but something that can handle pretty much anything well

:)

Check these guides:

There's a whole forum here w/ lots of suggested gaming builds:

Then go to a good shop like Jedicool at Panthip:

http://www.jedicool.com/ (see price list)

and get a rough equivalent built (labor is free). Be sure to get a good case and power supply (good PSU costs at least B1500).

Here are some configs in your price range:

Are you located in Bangkok, Chaing Mai or Pattaya (and maybe other places as well) then there are the big IT complexes where you could go and scout for bits and pieces and get them to assemble it for you. If not then there are some online shops you could try and check. The most well-known ones being: invadeIT, shop4thai & thanni.com I'm sure if you ask them nicely some of them will also assemble the computer for you.

If you combine this post with the other post of game systems you can get all what you want.

Once Pantip is open for business again (tomorrow?) i suggest just going down to one of the stores there, price up the components then find a store that will put it all together for you... i usually get them to do that when i buy/replace a Motherboard & CPU - i really hate fiddling around with those, the rest of the stuff (GFX, RAM, HDD etc) are usually very easy and simple to install yourself. Most good boards come with Sounds board onboard, so thats usually one less thing to worry about.

Most of the shops are willing to put it all together for you, if you ask them nicely. I have never been charged for this service, but if i was ever asked i'd happily pay 100-200b for someone in the shop to put it all together.
