Any Banks/exchange Booths Open In Sukhumvit Area?

Featured Replies

Well, today's the third day in a row for the banks/exchange booths to be closed in the Sukhumvit area. Can only wonder when they might reopen.

Anyone know if bank branches/exchange booths are open in any areas near to Sukhumvit? Running out of local currency, and have only traveler's checks. Gonna need to do something soon, tomorrow or Friday at the latest.

Appeciate any word, thanks

Change them in your hotel... you won't get such a good rate, but you'll be safe... Wandering around Sukhumvit road with a wodge of travellers cheques is a pretty daft thing to be doing today...

I'm just watching BBC News and latest report is that a "CURFEW" is in place for Bangkok for the rest of the day, if this is true then I wouldnt be wandering around either...Watching the news I have a feeling that things are going to get worse in Thailand before they get better, seems the hardline protesters are intent on setting off a few more fires before they leave.. :)

curfew effective from 8pm tonight
