chrgrims
Due to the current volatility of the situation, I think it is good if we stay on top of events as much as we can. We need to continually evaluate the dangers in our province. Therefore, please report any violence, gatherings or other noteworthy activities in this thread. Carlosm
Sri Thep is quiet. Talked to both the police and supporters of the red shirts and they both say that everything 'here' is as normal and nothing is planned. Here's hoping it stays that way. Spee
Sorry no news of present. Everything was quiet when I was at the crib in west Phetch in late March/early April. At all of the usual police highway checkpoints, like near the street market on Rt 11 in Khao Sai, there were soldiers and they were inspecting every car for signs of Reds headed south. Choke dee. Let's hope things stay quiet.
coolerking
Not sure that it counts a violence but I am under the impression that the Reds are setting up outside City Hall in Phetchabun as of 6pm this evening when I rode past.
