does anyone live near Khlong Toey fresh market?

How is the situation there?

Is it open again and is it safe to go there (from nana)?

Usually I buy fresh meat and vegetables form the market there.

But not sure if its ok to go there

Pleas let me know.

I live near there but am currently out of the country. You may be aware that there have been problems (bombings, shootings, etc.) there in the past (not related to the anti-government protests) and with the general level of violence and availability of weapons in Bangkok at the moment I think I'll be avoiding the market.

I doubt that anyone will be able to give you more "definite" advice than that.

My staff went this morning, no problem but short of fresh veg etc

Thanks for your feedback.. Im going there usually once a week or twice a month to buy fresh veggies and im aware of the situation from the past (bombs...).

Glad to hear that there was no probl today. sure they are short of everything as the shops cant get their goods delivered during night.. due to curfew.
