May 21, 201016 yr Hi, in one week I might fly to New York for 7 days. I am a German. I guess, I do not need a visa. But do I have to submit some other personal infos before departure? The Thai travel agent only gave me a link to the US Embassy. Helmut
May 21, 201016 yr Helmut Check out the "Visa Waiver Program" for U.S. entry here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/without_1990.html As far as "notifications" are concerned, believe your airline is responsible to notify the U.S. Government (TSA??) of all passengers on board. Mac
May 21, 201016 yr Yes you are required befor you board your flight. http://germany.usembassy.gov/visa/
May 21, 201016 yr Direct link for ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/esta.html?_fl...32-6F9F96F49434
May 21, 201016 yr Lately, the airlines have been asking for this information online. Whatever airline you're flying, try checking your confirmation at their website and see if there's additional information to fill in there.
May 22, 201016 yr Author Thank you, everybody. Very professional and helpful people here in the forum. Helmut
