HI the company legal team are applying for a W/p for me and have not asked me to do a STD check like i has to in my old company last year, is it still a require for BOI work permit, last time i got a work permit from Labour Dept but this time BOI, does that make any difference?

It is still a requirement.

My company has just changed official name and for some reason they asked me to submit all documents again as with a fresh WP application. The STD thing was also on the list. I guess it depends on who is handling your particualr case - or they may have cross-checked and been happy with your previous copy since it was only last year. Worst case is that at some point, some pencil-pusher will request it later but if that happens, I am sure that they will allow your company to just deliver it without you having to appear in person.
