Visa Run - Laos

Featured Replies

Hi folks, was just told by the school I need to go to LAOS to get a B-visa. I haven't overstayed yet. Need to know how I can get there and back...what to do there in Laos?? I don't want to get ripped off. Coming in from Nakhon Sawan. Thanks,

How cheap do you want it to be??

Train or bus?

Probably the train is the cheapest way to Nong khai, then walk to the border 15 mins stroll, then 20bht over the bridge on the bus,pay your visa and then get the local bus into town 20 bht or 1000 kip, then walk to the Thai consulate in the morning opening hours 8-12 apply for yor visa.

Then find a guesthouse in the city there are many and very cheap then next day go and pick up your visa after 1pm and head back to the border and do everything in reverse if you need specific info pm me as i have just done a run and can tell you clearly
