Being on benefits in the UK , he will need to advise the local office of his travel plans with an address of where he intends to go , he is also only allowed to leave the country for a maximum 6 weeks , not the same as being on a state pension .

His particular crime (possessing pedo images on his computer) most likely did not rise to the level where the UK government would ban travel.

He's not kept in a safe house for some images, but for what happened to his stepdaughter. The mother and his uncle got eight years.....
