Work In Thailand

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Maybe this is the wrong forum but the work forums seems to be very slow.

I am hoping to find working in Thailand, I know that this is an up hill task and so far i have been trying to get a transfer with the company that i work for and past employers. As many have locations though-out south east Asia. But does anybody know of any good expat websites? My background is in logistics and i have experience and qualifications to back this up, so would like to continue in this work. I have considered English teacher but don't think that it would be for me.

I have tried and applied for a few jobs on JObsDB but not had any reply back, is this for Thai nationals only? I just wonder why most of the job adverts are in English if they are looking for Thai nationals?

I have got my wife to translate my CV and cover letter into Thai also, but will this have any impact on Thai companies, do they prefer communication in English or Thai from non Thais.

Also does having a Thai wife help in any ways in applying for a visa/work permit? I have worked outside the U K before but only in the EU.

Thanks for you help

Regards

Sigh / That's a relief.

Just retire here.
