Hi everyone,

A few months ago i laid down a lawn for my yard. I had to go back home for a month because of an emergency and had forgotten to ask someone to take care of my yard. I got back a week ago to find my yard completely over taken by crab-grass. I can, i guess pull it out by hand which would be rough, but i'd prefer some sort of chemical spray since the yard is large. They have sprays back in the west, do they have anything here in Thailand? I'd appreciate any recommendations.

Thank you!

To the OP: Did you ever sort out your problem? If so, how?

I have the same problem. We had a new house built including "Yipoon sod" (the fine stuff) on the ground. The sod has been down for nearly a couple months now and there is more and more crabgrass everyday. I think its crabgrass anyways. It grows really quickly, is quite hearty, and is fairly horizontal at the base going out in all directions like a star then going up.

The wife suspects it was already in the ground before the sod went down and now its growing through. We are considering different options, preferably something organic. Pulling them by hand seems to be out of the question as it is nearly everywhere and more by the day. What about "Weed and Feed" like they have back home. Is that available here and does it work for this crabgrass stuff? We asked at HomePro and the best he could come up with was something that kills "everything"??? We are also considering putting the heavy thick-bladed Malay grass down, but will this stuff just grow right through it too? Anybody know the best way to handle this?
