Where To Fly A Kite?

Be careful telling Thai friends that you are off to fly a kite - it means something else entirely in Thai!

To give you a clue... think of the hand/arm action required in order to try and keep a kite in the air in low wind conditions!

Where are there any sustained wind places in Chiang Mai?

ThaiVisa.com? Seems to be plenty of hot air around here these days.

What about Huay Tung Tao, would there be enough space around there? Not sure how much wind gets in there though.

What's a foil kite? Is it something I need to know about before the children start asking for one?!

Huay Thung Tao doesn't ever get any sustained winds, it is too close to the mountains I think
