Any know how much approx it will cost to transfer a 30 year private house lease from Farang to Farang, papers are in Thai and English, price is around 3 mill, do you need a lawyer or can you do it yourself

You would need to locate the land owner and everybody go to the land office. The land office will officially register the new leasee on the back of the title deed (Chanote). The lease is around 3 million as you say and I assume all taxes have already been paid by the seller.

Everything should be ready for take over, would like to know the price and if its best to use a lawyer for this, the house will be rented out longterm straight away

remember, after 30years your lease is over, and the owner takes it back for free..=)

I know and so what, i have a cheap rent for 30 years and rent it out and make quiet good money, i did not say i bought the house did i? i rented it for 30 years.
