I have been known to utter some of the following, though I hasten to add that I don't tend to insert a quote into every conversation.... :o

From a brief review of your list:

we're not in Kansas anymore

I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship

Show me the money

If you build it, he/they will come

You had me at 'hello'

I feel the need — the need for speed

My precious

Houston, we have a problem

Plus some additional ones:

You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off - The Italian Job

Walk in the park Kazanski - Top Gun

I hate it when it does that - Top Gun as Goose is demonstrating "the finger"

Ooohhh Bright Light - Gremlins

Come over to the Dark Side - Star Wars

I'd love to be able to use this one:

"I know what you're thinking, "Did he fire six shots, or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But, being that this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question, "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya punk?" -- Dirty Harry :o

and

" I feel good, and I'm not scared at all. I just feel kind of... kind of invincible... Is it getting hot in here, or is it just me?" (1986)

Jake Elwood in Blues Brothers (1980)

"Ya see, Me and the Lord we have an understanding."

A couple of quotes i have never used but loved all the same, i would never have reason to use them but i would like to sometime. :o

Vincent Vega aka John Travolta from pulp fiction

Yeah, it breaks down like this:

it's legal to buy it, it's legal to

own it and, if you're the

proprietor of a hash bar, it's

legal to sell it. It's legal to

carry it, which doesn't really

matter 'cause -- get a load of this

-- if the cops stop you, it's

illegal for this to search you.

Searching you is a right that the

cops in Amsterdam don't have.

And my all time favourite which i also have as my ringtone on my moby is

Jules Winnfield aka Samuel L Jackson from Pulp Fiction

There's a passage I got memorized,

seems appropriate for this

situation: Ezekiel 25:17. "The path

of the righteous man is beset on

all sides by the inequities of the

selfish and the tyranny of evil

men. Blessed is he who, in the

name of charity and good will,

shepherds the weak through the

valley of darkness, for he is truly

his brother's keeper and the finder

of lost children. And I will

strike down upon thee with great

vengeance and furious anger those

who attempt to poison and destroy

my brothers. And you will know my

name is the Lord when I lay my

vengeance upon you."

Plus so many more great lines. :D

Can't remember which movie or who said it:

"You're confusing me with someone who gives a sh1t"

I just spent ages trying to find that.

Nada, niente, nothing, zip.

Of course then there is

Dylan Hunt: You must be confusing me with someone who gives a ship.

From Andromeda (2000): Captain Hunt and the crew of the Starship Andromeda set out on a mission to rebuild the Systems Commonwealth 300 years after its fall.

in the Trufaut film '400 blows' the hero Antoine Doinel is advised by his friend to offer the wildest possible excuse when caught out as truant from school...usually involving a close family member.

Teacher: Well?...what can you say for yourself?

Antoine: Monsieur...it's my mother...

teacher: what about your mother?

Antoine: SHE'S DEAD!!!

needless to say Antoine was caught out when his mum came to the school looking for him for another purpose.

When I saw the film I wanted to become 12 years old again in order to use those lines in the same situation...to express total and utter disrespect to the incompetents that passed for teachers in them days...

in the early 80's the San Francisco Chronicle had a cartoonist named 'Farley' who was a journalist that inhabited a mind space occupied by bears...one of whom was named Alfonso (the 'stinkin' badges line was uttered by the mexican actor Alfonso Bedoya in Treasure).

Alfonso the bear had bandoleros and a mexican hat and was a tour guide at the SF Zoo. A guest said 'where are the badgers?'

you can guess what the response was...

great cartoonists of the world...may they never be forgotten...

Cool Hand Luke

Paul Newman declares 'I can eat 50 eggs.' Someone shouts 'Hey!...Babaloobah, we got a bet over here.' Babaloobah turns out to be a mute and confused Dennis Hopper later to evolve into one of the greatest maniacs the screen has ever seen...

(While I admire the film could never figure out why there were not any black people on a southern road gang...nice short appearance by Harry Dean Stanton accompanying himself on guitar singing an old southern hymn...)

'You a good ol' boy Luke...' from George Kennedy who had beat the sh1t out of Luke in a jailyard fight.

ol' tutsi remembers the good movies...(the victim of repeated stompings locally and elsewhere as the subject of various 'failures to communicate'...)

"Feed me, Feed Me Now!!!!", Little Shop of Horors.

Heh! :o

I was Seymour in a highschool production about ten or eleven years ago.

Audrey II: Does this look "inanimate" to you, punk? If I can move and I can talk, who's to say I can't do anything I want?

Audrey II: [singing]If you wanna be profound, if you really gotta justify, take a breath and look around, a lot of folks deserve to die!

Audrey II: [singing] I'm just a mean green mother from outer space and I'm bad!

[Orin Scrivello, the sadistic dentist]

Orin: [singing] I thrill when I drill a bicuspid / It's swell though they tell me I'm mal-ad-just-ed.

[repeated line]

Audrey II: Feed me, Seymour!

Audrey II: Feed me!

Seymour: Does it have to be human?

Audrey II: Feed me!

Seymour: Does it have to be mine?

Audrey II: Feeeed me!

Seymour: How am I supposed to get it?

Audrey II: [singing] Feed me, Seymour / Feed me all night long - That's right, boy! - Go to it, Feed me Seymour / Feed me all night long / Cause if you feed me, Seymour / I can grow up big and strong.

Audrey II: [singing] I got killer buds / A power stem / Nasty pods / And I'm using them! / So better move 'em out / Nature calls / You got my pun? / I'm gonna bust your balls!

Audrey: Seymour's first radio broadcast! I wanted to hear it so bad. I tried to be on time, but...

Mr. Mushnik: Don't tell me. You got tied up.

Audrey: No. Just handcuffed a little.  :D

Orin: [holding a dentist's tool] Let me ask you something! Does this scare you? Would you like if I took this and headed right for your ###### incisors?

Seymour: [looks terrified]

Orin: It'd hurt, right?

Seymour: Uh huh.

Orin: You'd scream, right?

Seymour: Uh huh.

Orin: Well get your ass in here!

Orin: I find a little giggle-gas before I begin gives me immense pleasure.

Seymour: Wait for me, Audrey. This is between me and the vegetable!  :D

Seymour: It's true! I chopped him up. But I didn't kill him!
