someone is using my emailadress as return emailadress for spam.

So I get all the undeliverable emails, 300 in the last 5 min. As the emailadress is not important I turn it off (my server).

is there a way to find out who is doing that and send an abuse email to the provider or is that a waste of time?

Oh and if someone need viagra, I have a mailbox full of offers

Spam - the bane of the Internet. You have my sympathies. Here's a couple of options:

1. Visit DNS Stuff - there's a heap of useful tools to track spam.

2. Right click on one of the emails, then click on Properties, then click on the Details tab. View the source of the message from there.

3. Install one of the small pre-email viewers, such as Pop Tray. Instead of running Outlook Express, or whatever your email programme is, Pop Tray (or similar) just downloads the message header. You can delete the spam before it is downloaded to your computer.

4. Install a Spam Filter. If your ISP doesn't already have one, consider Spam Soap or something similar.

no it is a bit different, someone is sending spam and has my emailadress as sender. So all the undeliverable emails come on my account, and they go true the spam filter and the sender is of course the server without that user it was sent too.

h90 - You've probably already done this, but double check your system for any possible backdoor trojans. Some of the latest (specifically aimed at servers) operate in the exact mannor your seeing.
