Eucalypts Trees

Featured Replies

Back in January I posted looking for info concerning growing eucalypts trees. Well we finally got started and our 50 rai is coming along pretty good. Our land is off route 304 about 15 km north of the Kabinburi interchange. Will report back in 5 years when the trees are matured enough for cutting!

Good luck with the Eucs. :)

No Teak or Rubber?

I noticed a big change in the landscape on the way to Poipet recently.

Teak & Eucs everywhere. Looks good!

I have 15 rai if eucs, paid 4,5 baht per sappling from doubleA a ,(can buy them 1 baht of small shops)but double a said there strain is suitable for my land as it is very low(old rice fields,,3 years on lots of them have died or at not growing good, the price per ton used to be around 1000 baht per ton,,now down to 700 ish per ton,MAY 2010, i think the price will drop even lower,as i have a met a farang who works double aa,head office bangkok(overseas marketer),and has told me the company is expanding into Laos,Cambodia, and China (and over the last 2 years sales of sapplings in Thailand has gone up 400%) ,so surely this must be bad news for growers in Thailand,,as land labour is a lot cheaper in these countries,

good luck ,for all growers in Thailand(i surely need some)
