Atm Use In Bali, Indonesia

Featured Replies

I will be traveling to Bali, Indonesia.

I have a Kasikorn ATM/Check card and a Citibank ATM/Check Card.

Can I use the Kasikorn ATM card in Bali? Or would it be cheaper to use a Citibank ATM card?

I certainly used my Kasikorn ATM in Bali late last year and got a good rate of exchange, one restaurant wanted to charge me 3% when using it to pay for dinner, so I popped along to an ATM.

I did note that the exchange if I wanted to exchange Baht varied considerable, as much as 50%, my gf wanted to change some cash but in the end didn't bother.

I always use thai plastic during my Bali holidays. Thai banks (SCB and Krung Thai) charge 100 baht every withdrawal but in some bank you can take as much as 3.000.000 IDR (around 10.000 baht)

I heard there were many problems with ATMs in Kuta. Some don't work and others take the card.

Is there a specific bank that you used in Kuta that was successful (and less of a risk).

Yes - used my KrungThai Bank card both for ATM and to buy interisland indo flights - no problem
