Hi there,

I have two children, a daughter who is 10 yo and a son who is 6 yo - wife is thai. We live in Scandinavia, and so far the only language the children speak is Danish. Let's say we move to Thailand (BKK or Chiang Mai) for a longer period, what are the childrens best options when it comes to school, and would they be able to adapt? I figure the max school budget would be about 50000 baht per child per year.

Language is not a big problem. The kids need some extra help in the beginning but they will quickly pick up. I suggest cheap bilingual school with the budget you have. Difficult to find 50,000 per year in Bangkok

Both kids are fluent in Danish, now it's up to you and your wife to help them with the other 2 languages they need, if you do a good job then their lives will become easier once they get here. You start speaking English at home and the wife speaks Thai... :) You will be amazed! how quickly they pick up

Would they be able to adapt? - Yes
