I work in Thai government school. Recently I got married with woman of same nationality. I have one year NON B visa. My wife got a non O visa from our country. Now we moved together in Thailand. Her 3 months Non O visa is going to expire next month. How can I extend or renew her non O visa? what are the documents required for this ? Please help. thanks in advance

What exactly do you have? Is it a visa that allows 90 day stays and you leave Thailand every 3 months for a new entry? Or is it a one year extension of stay from Immigration - which would allow extension of stay for your wife?

I would like extend her visa for one year. like my dependent. my VISA will expire on 2011 march. so I would like to extend her visa. Dont want her to leave the kingdom. thank you.

I have non b visa for one year. my wife obtained non o (marriage visa) from thai consulate back in our country. when we arrived at the airport the immigration check gave 3 months validity for her non o visa. her non o visa will expire 17 of july. i would like to extend it. I never went out of the country.

As said it would help to know exactly what you have.

Is it a Visa from a Thai Consulate or an extension from Immigration?

Do you leave the country every 90 days or report to Immigration?

Forget you Wife for a moment.

Your Immigration Status?

Do you have to leave the country every 90 days?

Or do you report to Immigration every 90 days.

It appears that you do not have a Non B Visa. You have an Extension of Stay.

If this is the case your Wife can get a 12 month Extension of Stay from Immigration as your dependent. Go and have a chat with Immigration.

From the Police Order.

2.20 In the case of a family

member of an alien who has been permitted temporary

stay under clauses 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.5, 2.6,2.7, 2.10, 2.12, 2.13,2.4, 2.15, 2.16, 2.17,

2.21, 2.22,2.26,6.29 of this Order (applicable only to parents, spouse, child, adopted child or child of

his/her spouse):

Permission will be

granted for a period of

not more than 1 year at a time.

(1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM);

(2) Proof of family relationship;

(3) In the case of a spouse, the marital relationship shall be de

jure (legitimate) and de facto;

Have a look at 2.20 in the first section and also in the second section.

You have an extension of stay based on your work.

Your Non B Visa died years ago.

Go and see Immigration who should be able to issue your wife with a 12 month extension as your dependent.
