I came to Thailand for work on a 1 year Non O Multiple Visa about a year ago, Have been doing border runs since, now the visa is to run out 4th of July.

Im now studying full time at Bangkok University and

today got a stack of papers that I will bring to the Immigration where Im hoping to change my visa. Papers are both in Thai and English and seems to be pretty comprehensive with stamps ,signatures etc.

After reading some older posts in this topic I am rather unsure if its possible thou.

Can I change my Non O to and Non ED Visa?

If not, can I apply for an extension on my current Non O , based on education?

Im living in Bangkok and will visit the Immigration Office in Chaeng Wattana in a few days.

Just try to get an extension of stay based on education and see. If it is a real university course they might be inclined to do it.

There is no way then to convert the Non O to a Non Ed within Thailand?

Bangkok University is a well known institution, the oldest private Uni if im not mistaken and I am enrolling 4 years of studies.

If the extension fails, assuming Im doing as you suggested and tries to extend the Non O. The easiest way to solve the "problem" is to go out of the country and get

a tourist visa and then change the tourist visa for a non Ed at Immigration in Bangkok? Am I correct?

You are going to Immigration to obtain a one year extension of stay for education - there is no change in your visa as that is not required - you have a non immigrant visa entry which is the requirement.

(1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM)

<br><br>All went well, got my extension on my non O and did it in the N section as supposed to when studying is the reason for stay/extension.<br><br>Only got 6 months thou.<br><br><br>
