Best Place To Park Near Mrt Or Bts?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, I live in Nong Chok and I like to travel into the centre of BKK occasionally. I hate driving when the traffic gets too bad. I was just wondering if anyone knows of a good place to park near a BTS or MRT station; maybe a shopping center or something? I think when the airport link is running regularly it will be easier, but does anyone have any suggestion for now. Basically I just want somewhere near the BTS or MRT that isn't too hard to get to and will be easy find parking. Once I've access to the trains I can go most places that I want to go. Thanks
Joe
At BTS / MRT Jatchujak there is a big car park. So too at BTS Onnut. I am sure there are others.

But seriously, you are not thinking of doing the park and ride thing - what here in Thailand?

Thanks BKKJames, I would imagine that I'm not the first to do this, but I'm just too much of a whimp for too much traffic:rolleyes:

I also have a toddler who gets really antsy when the car isn't moving.

Mine as well. Seems he inherited my lack of patience. ;)

Do like everyone else park at the Carre four/Tesco lotus at On nut soi 77 and walk to the BTS,the unofficial park and ride scheme is alive and kicking in Thailand.

on the other side of the railway tracks at Bangsue there is a free parking place, you walk over a bridge then goto MRT. To get there you go down Kampahaeng Phet 2, towards the market from the bus station area, then at the T junction turn right, after about 100 metres start moving into the right hand lane, as you need to be in the second lane from the right at the traffic lights, turn right, just at 90 degrees there is a small road turn down it, immediately turn left, follow this road at about 80 metres follow it to the right, go straight on, over the railway tracks, and keep going, some buildings appear on your right, the parking is on your left, drive in and you have to walk towards the train station, over the bridge and you will see MRT.

Sorry not got the location in latitude and longitude. If you have a good map, look at the Bangsue train station and opposite it you should see the parking, again not on OVI Maps.

Edited to include this - Free parking
