No Reply Option On First Thread Posts

I'm using FF and Chrome latest, and each doesn't show a reply button for first post of any thread, only second to end posts have them. Why is this?

Just click on the "Add reply" button

Quoting the first post in a thread is not possible with the forum software.

Ok, I was thinking something was wrong with my browsers not being able to quote the first post, but understand now.
