hi ,

it depends what's your budget is

doi farang is very nice and run like clockwork by a german farang

but there's some local guesthouse or motels

one of them is bungalow 83 it's on the main road phrao to vieng papao

it's about a mile out of town on the left hand they are cheaper but more spartan no wifi etc etc

mainly gearing for thai people

the week market is monday morning till noon

many people from surrounding mountains come down to the valley to buy and sell their

locally grown produce not touristy at all
