I dunno if this or the real estate forum is a better place for this but the 2% court fee or deposit - hopefully I will get it back - is it usually paid to the lawyer or by a bank draft or something direct to the court?

Thanks.

The information on this link http://bia.serverbox.net/030.html is worth reading. I assume this is relation to a divorce case. If that's the case, all dealings deposit, filing, etc)I had with the courts apart from my 1 day appearance were done by my lawyer.

It makes no difference who pays court deposits. If your pockets are deep enough you can give power of attorney to your lawyer and he'll file all documents and pay on your behalf....and bill you. You don't even need to be in Thailand until towards the end of the process when you and your spouse are legally obliged to appear together before the court.
