OM3N
I just arrived with an unlocked IPhone. Which GPRS service is the best? I would prefer to keep my current number if at all possible. Edit: I am looking for an unlimited data plan. Edited July 27, 2010 by OM3N

Phil Conners
I have a DTAC subscription and I can tell you their GPRS/EDGE is uselessly slow, at least in Pattaya. Unfortunately for business reasons I can't afford to change my number, and anyway I don't know if any of the alternatives are much better.
RedCardinal
Yeah, AIS unlimited plan at 650B + VAT isn't bad. You're never going to get much speed over EDGE, but for mobile usage it's not too bad. Perfect if you're using a smart phone with always-on data.

Tywais
My home Internet connection for the last few years has been DTAC EDGE and is fine for my purpose at home. It has been essentially 100% reliable for me. For large downloads/torrents I use my University network. DTAC EDGE from Chiang Mai: 156kbps down 48kbs up to Singapore 175kbps down 80kpbs up to Bankgok
