Inporting Parts From Usa

Featured Replies

I want to import car parts from America to Thailand

http://www.webercarbsdirect.com/product_p/wk288.htm

It is around 85 KG, I want to order online and send it shipping office in US, so the shipping company can collect and I can receive here in Thailand and pay for shipping

Can this be be done? as it is for personal use.

Any forward companies will do it?

It can be done.. Expect to pay import duty is all..

thanks for the info,

do you know any forwarding company in US / Thailand that can do this?

If you don't need the part urgently there is a thread on here that mentions a company in the States that offers substantial discounts and can save duty too as they repack and you fill out the bill of lading on line yourself. You have your item shipped to them within the States and they ship it here with other items etc. but I can't remember the name right now something like shipit..Maybe someone else can refresh the name or link to the thread..

As I recall, import duty on car parts/accessories is 60% of CIF.

I can't recommend any forwarders though I'm afraid :(

WarpSpeed - that is very useful info, I will try to search, by chance if you dig your memory that will be great... :)

"A friend of mine uses shipito to forward to Thailand things he buys in America. He says they can repackage new items to look like used personal items in order for there to be less of a chance it will be taxed.

WarpSpeed's right - it wasn't me.

Nice find though - has anyone actually used them before?

3, I cheat in this case and quote the entire post and delete what's not relevant between the quote symbols..Always trying to find the best around problems and quickest to the finish line am I.... Or one can also cut and paste by copying the quote and then using the little quotation icon above and then pasting the copy between the quotes though that won't reference the OP's post it will quote at least... Give it a try..
