BUSINESS SUMMARY

Investment is being sought to aid in the expansion of this Koh Samui Tour Company. Bookings and tour requests are handled from a two storey shop house with 200 square metres of floor space in the Bophut area of the island, although a sales office in a resort hotel on Bophut Beach has just been opened to further improve customer awareness.

The owner is looking to expand the destination management and set up a water sport department with the aim of increasing income by up to 100 percent. Half of the shares in the company will therefore be made available for 2,500,000 baht. A work permit will be provided if the new partner wishes to work for the company on a salary of 35,000 baht per month; this would be on top of half of the company’s future profits, but would, of course, be deducted from the bottom line. Investors with no wish to take on an active role will also be welcomed, however.

An automated online booking system for all destinations in Thailand is already in place, but this will be radically expanded to include all destinations in Asia from March 2010 onwards. The company is relatively new, being opened in late 2008, but annual receipts totalling approximately 4,800,000 baht are already producing net profits of roughly 800,000 baht per annum after all overheads have been taken into account. Asking price for 50 percent: 2,500,000 baht.
