Laptop->bluetooth->mobile->gprs

Featured Replies

Hi,

for the past few days i've been using my laptop to connect to the net via my mobile using bluetooth and GPRS.

I've usually noticed a very slow speed (been using it for about 2 years now).

Normally the phone is about 2 metres from the laptop most usually about 6 inches away......today the missus took the phone upstairs, so i thought it's worth a go and yeah it works (about 12 metres, on a different floor).

I'm getting blistering speeds, compairable to a fixed line connection.....perhaps my BT adapter has increased it's signal strength or something...anyone who has mobile want to try this and confirm...or has AIS upgraded somewhere......

cheers,

P
