British Loan Shark Who Prayed Upon Thai Community

Featured Replies

The reason for posting this is that I have been following this story on an another site, Paul Thomas who claimed to be a bar owner in Pattaya had been claiming benefits between 2004 and 2008 while actually receiving income from his loan sharking and not declaring property in Thailand (a bar in Pattaya), he had also been charged with controlling prostitutes.

Anyway the full story is here: http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/news/LOAN-...il/article.html

Further background information; Thomas was charged with his former wife Ratree Jungern, former "Lady of Pattaya" http://www.thisisplymouth.co.uk/news/EX-PARTNERS-FACING-THAI-LOANS-CHARGES/article-1371959-detail/article.html

no doubt he will be out in 6 months ready to start again. Hope the goverment brings in the new rules for benefits real soon, pattaya will be rid of a hel_l of a lot of benefit scrounging expats abroad when it does and good riddance to.

6 months, it may be sooner, maybe gets bail pending an appeal.

I do not think prison really works, it costs £40-50K per annum to bang someone up in the UK, I would like to think they bang people like him up for 6 week then make them do community service and tag them so they can not go out in the evening, any breaking the rules back inside.
