Bookbinder

Featured Replies

I have a paperback which has become a little tattered, can anyone suggest a bookbinder who can fix it for me?

Colin

Probably just as cheap to pick up another second hand, unless it's unique or has sentimental value.

if you are passing three kings monument towards chang puak gate-north- then on the next /adjacent corner west-left-side there is a copy shop that can copy it or maybe rebind it since they bind the copies too.i had a paperback copied for 180.

Thank you UpToYou, at least someone has a sensible answer, the clown who suggested I find a new one has no idea how difficult it was to find the first one, I ended up getting it sent from (Mozilla). The book is /The Great Game'by Peter Hopkirk, a fascinating story of the battle for control of the middle East in the 17th & 18th Century.

Thanks,

Colin in Pai

Here you go Niloc many copies available if you need them. I find Abebooks fabulous for finding more obscure stuff and most shops will email to Thailand after you have contacted them.

Actually I'd quite like to read The Great Game myself.

There is (or was) a copy of The Great Game in the Chiangmai University main library. I borrowed it from there some time ago... and yes, I did return it!

Does anyone know if there is a bookbinder who can actually bind books? I mean restoring and rebinding antique leather books. I have a 18th century edition of King Arthur that falls apart and another 19th century tome that needs complete rebinding.

Cheers, CMX

I tried to find a bookbinder some time ago, without success. My treasured 1530 Catullus (in a 19th Century binding) is about to lose its front cover.

18th century King Arthur? Who by? Sounds interesting.
