Just a quick query, we applied for my husbands settlement visa on the 28th of June and havnt heard anything yet. However my husband had a message on his phone from a 1942567 number. it just said messge cannot be displayed here and we tried it in both english and thai but now he's paranoid incase it was the embassy.

My husband lost his phone inbween recieving the message to say that his papaers had been sent to the embassy and now so we cant check what the previous number was. He got a sim card with his old number so thats not changed i just want to make sure this message isnt the one we're all waiting for!

i may well be wrong but i would doubt very much it would be a message from the vfs, we have a topic going (uk settlement waiting) and there are still people from early june, myself included waiting for that same message coming through, waiting time seems to be getting a little longer now, up to 9wk so i dont think it would be from the vfs yet? i dont know what else you can do other than what the oldgit says and track your app online,

If you read the post properly the OP couldn't open the message, and has no idea who it was from, hence the advice to check the tracking facility.
